This is the deal list credit and management see: every live deal, where it's up to, who's holding it and for how long. Sales see the same view of their own deals. (The names are made up.)
What changes

Seven things that used to eat your day.

Taken straight from the walkthroughs the admin, sales and credit teams recorded of a normal day's work.

  1. Seeing deals

If your role needs it, you can see every deal, where it's up to and who's holding it.

BeforeYou could only see deals you'd touched, so management kept a separate Excel list to report to funders.

  2. Documents

Upload the whole deal pack in one go. Customer documents stay on file and get reused while they're valid.

BeforeMost of the admin day went on uploading documents one by one, often ones that were already on file.

  3. Repeat customers

Their details, people, bank account and documents come across with them. You just check them.

BeforeA second deal for the same customer meant typing everything in again.

  4. Approvals

The credit write-up and the decision live on the deal, and you can approve from your phone.

BeforeCredit write-ups and decisions happened over email, outside the system.

  5. Routing

Every step goes to a named team, and anyone can see who's in it.

BeforeTasks landed with the wrong person and had to be passed back.

  6. Email

You get one email when something's yours to do. Everything else waits under the bell.

BeforeEvery step sent an email, and the link asked you to log in again.

  7. The calculation

Every line of the rental working is on screen, so you can check it against your spreadsheet.

BeforeRental workings got redone in Excel because nobody trusted them.

Eight steps, and everyone sees the same ones.

When one team's done, the next team gets the task straight away, on whichever screen is closest. Sales see the same tracker on their own deals, so nobody has to ask where a deal is.
